Description

We are on the look out for an enthusiastic and vibrant Web Designer / UI Designer / UI/UX / Graphic Designer is required for a 4 month contract to make improvements to a web-based management application as well as doing UI design improvements to their IOS front end table application.

We need somebody who can design a modern, attractive, user-friendly UI with ideal experience in the retail, gaming/gambling, or media industries, with experience on HTML/CSS to drive attraction and audiences to my client's websites.

The role:

Adopt a usability-first approach - you will be responsible for the design and implementation of HTML / CSS for all aspects of web UI, including layouts, modals, user input and display of data.

Responsibilities:

- Evaluate existing application UI and propose improvements to the design of both general layout and individual components (e.g. buttons, tables, inputs)

- Produce a library of common layouts and components to enable .NET developers to build visually consistent pages, and provide users with a common usage experience throughout the application

- Supporting only modern browsers, refactor parts of existing HTML and CSS

- Potentially assist iOS development team with some aspects of app UI

Essential Skills & Experience:

- At least 3 years of experience in designing and implementing compelling and user-friendly UIs for web-based applications

- In-depth knowledge of general design principles (grids, typography, use of space and colour etc.)

- HTML5

- CSS3 (especially Flexbox) and LESS

- Bootstrap

Desirable Skills & Experience:

- Graphic design (any tools)

- Exposure to Visual Studio

Location: North West

Start Date: ASAP

Contract length: 4 months, chase of extension
