Middle Office P&L Analyst, Credit Products, London 6 months

Bank of America Merrill Lynch is looking to appoint an Experienced P&L Analyst to work within a Middle Office environment working with Credit Products. Warwick Court 6 months

You will be part of the Strategic Funds Middle Office team; they provide product control and daily support to the business partnering with the Trading Desk, Finance, Credit risk and Market risk teams. This area offers bespoke financing solutions.

The main duties of the role include:

-Daily P&L Production & EOD/Monthly Reporting
-Understanding of P&L
-Investigation of breaks between trader estimate and actual P&L
-Daily P&L Sign Off by Front Office
-Break analysis and reconciliation between Source System, Subledger and General Ledger
-Cash Reconciliation, ARAPs analysis and resolution
-Balance Sheet substantiation and sign off
-Ensure that all correct control procedures are adhered to and a full audit trail is recorded and maintained at all times.
-Assist in the streamlining and enhancement of all Product Control processes
-Aid in development of team members by training and sharing knowledge and regular cross training.
-Participate to the business initiatives (new activities, entity migration, source system migration, etc)
-Drive standardisation of process, application and data source

All Skills need to be CLEARLY VISIBLE within your CV/Application:

-Experience with Financial Services, Investment or Banking Industries
-Experience within Middle Office Function
-Advanced understanding of the P&L, its production, signing off and break analysis
-Understanding of Credit Products inclusive of PRS, Repos and Bonds
-Product Control Knowledge
-Process improvement experience
