My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Warwickshire, are looking to recruit a Electrical Systems Engineer to join their Electrical Engineering division on a long-term contract basis.

Description:
Work with system owners to develop bookshelf system schematics and create associated topology diagrams. Perform optimization activates creating status opportunity trackers To produce an accurate set of system circuits, with the correct wire attributes and connector pin outs in time for release and incorporation into the harnesses designs, using VeSys & EDS Enterprise CAD tools. Reviewing component DT's and applying circuit design rules to deliver a quality robust design. Run circuit audits to validate information supplied and perform circuit analysis techniques for DC characteristic (Short circuit/Volt drop) also fusing & grounding architecture, and involved in resolving system issues, using design rule checking and SDS's
Experience Required:
Proficient in the VeSys Circuit Design, and EDS Designer (or an equivalent Circuit CAD tool)
System engineering understanding and experience
Good understanding of Circuit Design techniques
Sound Knowledge of 1st principles (electronics)
Strong communication skills
Fully conversant with all Microsoft products.
Education Required:
Strong communication skills; able to communicate complex circuit technical concepts, and feedback to a wider audience
Proven project and time management skills and able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision
Knowledge of circuit SDS requirements
Education Preferred:
Perform and plan circuit audits
Proficient in reviewing and applying component DT's Device transmittals or component data). Understand and apply harness topology to all wires
Fully understand analysis of circuits including fusing principles. Sound knowledge of 1st principles (electronics)
