Description

One of our prestigious is looking for an enthusiastic software developer to join their team based in Wigan, Lancashire. The role will include occasional travel across the UK and Ireland,

Key Performance Indicators:
- Provide an exceptional level of quality output of developments or enhancements to products marketed by the Company.
- Excellent at managing multiple tasks (organizational skills) with exceptional attention to detail
- Undertake all developments with specific regard to efficient time management
- Keep colleagues and line manager fully informed of successes, failures and potential delays
- Collaboration with other staff to ensure customers are satisfied with our service

Essential skills:
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- In-depth knowledge of C#, MS SQL Server, XML, XSLT, DB Design, DB Architecture, DB Performance, Entity Framework.
- Structured with good time management skills and committed to achieving targets
- Self-motivated, positive personality, team player
- Well presented, with conservative business attire for external meetings
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communications

Advantageous skills:
- Understanding of e-business connectivity and supply chain applications
- Experienced using Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of ASP.Net

Responsibilities:
- Interpreting Specifications of Requirement, such that the design of new features to Atlas Products (whether a completely new delivery or an enhancement of an existing delivery) are undertaken in the most cost effective and efficient manner possible
- To advise colleagues of any restrictions or possible improvements when interpreting the design requirements
- Developing and enhancing Atlas Products or Software to the highest possible standard to include full unit testing of discrete modules and link testing of any revised delivery before hand over to third party Quality Assurance and subsequent User Acceptance Testing
- T- keep Development Team Lead informed at all stages of the developments being undertaken, especially of any factors that may affect promised deliveries
- Provide support t- the pre-sales process as required from time t- time by means of demonstrations, advice and occasional proto-typing
