Job Title: Oracle Entitlements Server (OES) Technical Specialist
Duration: 6 months Rolling Contract
Location: London, UK.
Overall Job Purpose
The implementation of project-driven change of Oracle Entitlements Server (OES) components (v10g and later) to agreed timescales, budget and quality
Ensuring the team is operationally equipped to provide effective service/component administration & maintenance activities, including environment builds and code deployments; provide knowledge transfer (KT) across the team
Effective liaison with peers & environment component teams (such as Oracle and WebSphere)
Ensure knowledge documentation is maintained with changes in the environment and OES integration
Act as SME to Run The Bank support where required
Understand the project from a process and also business perspective
Automate the manual processing, if there is any, and contribute in design and development of moving the application to strategic architecture and create a very stable and reliable system
Come up with creative ideas to improve the overall functioning of the project
Perform environment build, set up and administration/maintenance activities for OES
Perform activities to support code deployment of the applications to multiple environments through pre-prod to prod
Ensure smooth and timely delivery of code to business as per SLA
Implement change requests (CR) from business/project team within the SLA
Provide on-going administration of test environments for triage/resolution of defects
Application Support (10%)
Resolving incidents/issues/defects in the environment
Own the resolution of incidents within the agreed service levels
Provide long term solution for incidents and contribute towards building a very stable and reliable system
Process Improvement (20%)
Contributing towards moving the environment to strategic architecture
Work towards reducing incidents recovery timescales, and incident volumes through effective use of ITIL processes
Ensure best practices are followed and all company standards are adhered to
Identifying areas of improvement and encourage team members to come up with creative ideas

Excellent technical skills in OES & Unix with a good understanding of WebSphere & Oracle systems and standards
In depth knowledge of how IT services can be delivered most effectively and able to use this knowledge to meet organization's goals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt style for multiple levels and different audiences
Excellent analytical skills and an ability to solve issues
Has a high level of drive, energy and passion that motivates and inspires others
Ability to lead/guide team during crisis/critical situations
Desirable
Knowledge of other Oracle products
Knowledge of Tibco products such as Hawk, Business Works, EMS
Knowledge of WebSphere
