Competence Development Consultant

We are currently recruiting for our client, a prestigious telecommunications company to join their project in China.

Position Title: Competence Development Consultant
Position Type: Contract
Start Date: October 2015
Duration: 12 months
Location: Shenzhen

Responsibilities:
- Build, manage and own customer relationship, capture customer requirements and analyze customer pain points to identify and develop solution deliverables.
- Provide marketing and sales support to existing and prospective customers globally.
- Support major marketing events and activities as a subject matter expert.
- Project delivery, including conducting survey, writing survey reports.
- Design implementation solution for the Learning service team to implement; output the deliverables based on predefined quality criterias.
- Working closely with clients HQ and Regional service sales teams, promote talent competence development solution within all Service offers providing marketing support and coaching as required. Assist and guide regions to develop long-term marketing strategies.
- Produce regular summary reports for best practice, reference cases, gap analysis, opportunities and key learning from engagements.
- Remain current with market trends and developments to identify opportunities and produce quarterly market and Business Intelligence reports.

Qualifications/Skills Required:
- At least 6+ years experience in learning/ICT industry as HRD or Senior consultant.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in instructional/learning design, human resource development, educational technology, communications or a related field.
- Successful experience in a similar role managing enterprise-wide initiatives, Consulting experience gained within a telecoms operator, vendor or an industry recognized consultancy practice.
- Proficient in organizational and talent development theory, competence development method and tools.
- Highly adaptable, goal oriented self reliant and personable, able to work under pressure in
global multicultural, often unstructured work environments.
- Be resourceful and think creatively about how to get the job done and work around obstacles.
- Think strategically and also work tactically with minute levels of detail.
- Able to travel extensively at short notice for extended periods, globally as required. Be willing to travel to underdeveloped regions.
- Nationality: Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Indonesia are preferred.
- Fluent Mandarin is highly preferred; fluent English is a must.
