Contract Coding Lead (EPS Project) (North West)

Please note they are willing to wait a number of weeks for a start date for the right candidate but would like to hold face to face interviews in the next 1-2 weeks at the latest.

Role Summary: The Trust is working in partnership with EPS, a company who specialise in providing expert analysis and benchmarking at diagnosis/procedure code level to support the identification of opportunities to enhance coding complexity and depth.

The post holder will be required to

* Develop a roll out programme for the EPS Engage application.

* Develop and implement a rolling programme of review and learning implementation with clinical teams, building relationships with key staff groups

* Ensure that learning is transferred from clinical teams to the Clinical Coding training plan

* Produce monthly feedback reports to the PET programme, Executive Team and Board detailing progress and impact of EPS

* Ensure Divisional Managers and Clinical Directors receive appropriate training and monthly feedback

* Attend the PET programme meetings as required to discuss progress, risks and concerns

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below should be undertaken in accordance with the levels of competence as defined in the KSF outline for this post. In addition, all members of staff are expected to act in accordance with the values and behaviours of the Trust.

ROLE DUTIES MEASURABLE OUTCOME:

EPS APPLICATION

* Be the Trust lead for all aspects of the Engage application uses

* Develop a roll out programme for the EPS Engage application

* Trust analytical lead in the review of EPS outputs

* Gain specialist knowledge of the application by working with the EPS representative

* Programme document produced and scheduled sessions attended on a regular basis

* Develop an expert knowledge of the Engage Application outputs, providing analytical support to clinical and corporate teams ü ü ü ü ü ENGAGEMENT

* Develop a rolling programme of review and learning for Clinicians

* Responsible for monthly feedback sessions with individual Clinicians

* Responsible for influencing clinician practice of documentation in case notes

* Programme document produced and scheduled sessions attended on a regular basis

* Build strong working relationships with key members of clinical teams

* Attend sessions and ensure any issues or problems are escalated in a timely manner

* Regular presentations given and documents produced for circulation in Divisions

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

* Responsible for producing feedback reports and delivering to a variety of Trust teams

* Ensure that any learning points are transferred to the Clinical Coding training plan

* Highlight areas of poor documentation and resolve the issues

* Reports produced on a monthly basis and delivered to the Executive Team, Divisional Managers and Clinical Directors

* Attend regular meetings with the Clinical Coding Manager and Trainer

* Collaborate with Divisional staff at all levels to resolve issues in a timely manner

* Ensure that documentation changes are embedded into operational practice
