Description

Sub-System Software Requirement Authority required to manage and maintain the Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), ensuring delivery of the subsequent software products in line with the programme timescales and sub-system use.

Typical activities will include the below:
Technical development activities for the Software products.
Create and maintain the Requirement Product Line in support of ongoing and future projects. This will require discussions and agreement with multiple stakeholders.
Use of DOORS and Rhapsody for the Software Requirement Specification (SRS) population and change management in response to System team inputs and User feedback.
Interfacing with the software team and donor projects to ensure design re-use assumptions are maintained and the software products are available in the agreed timescales.
Review of Engineering Change Proposals to understand suitability and impact of the proposed change, providing a recommendation.
Contribute the Trials planning to ensure the functionality Points of Embodiment are known and negotiate trades to accommodate all the Project user needs.
Populate the Design Record to ensure the audit trail of design decisions.
Technical Requirement Specification (TRS) to Sub-System SRS traceability.
Contribution to Design Verification Plans (DVP) and Requirement Verification Modules (RVM) for the Software products.
Functional Change Control management.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Sound understanding of System Engineering Process (including System and Sub-System Specification, System Test and Integration).
Experience of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML preferably using Rhapsody.
Experience in tools for Requirements Capture and Control (DOORS) and Configuration Management (Dimensions or RTC).
Experience in engineering product delivery.
Experience of technical problem solving.
Trade Off analysis and solution generation.
Good project and risk management skills and knowledge.
Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
