Description
Designs Fault Management solution to ensure effective alerting/alarming which aids in quick root cause analysis and reduced MTTR. Analyze the Network Elements in detail covering the alarming interfaces (SNMP, CORBA, TCP, OSS etc), Managed Object modelling plans, functional specification and contracts to determine system requirements. Prepares Design document assessing the business, product, technical and deployment requirements in detail. Prepare UAT documents defining the compliance mapping to technical and business requirements in detail. Design scalable and robust solutions covering entire Network Management Domain. Designs and implements proof of concept projects and communicates effectively in translating business requirements into technical requirements. Coordinates E2E SDLC of the project by working closely with the Design Management team and Development team.Minimum Required Skills/Competencies:
- Strong foundation in OSI model of Telecommunications Networks
- Strong knowledge and experience in E2E Wireless Network Architecture (Core Network, RAN Network, IP Network)
- Strong knowledge and experience working on GSM, UMTS and LTE Technologies
- Strong knowledge of Network Management domain (FCAPS)
- Strong knowledge of SNMP
- Strong knowledge of various vendor equipment, such as Ericsson, Nokia, Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent etc..
- Experience working on OSI NetExpert solution for Fault Management is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Strong Analytical and Communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
- 2-4 years of design and development experience in Network Management domain (FCAPS)
- 6+ years of relevant Telecommunications experience
Preferred skills:
- 6-8 years experience in software development, software design or business process design (example: process modelling, use case analysis, etc) and implementation preferred
- 6-8 years minimum experience in telecommunications industry preferred
- 6-8 years experience developing business solutions with a variety of tools preferred
