Description
Position Duties:- Maintain existing manufacturing equipment/machinery and implement new equipment (ie IPT conveyance, AC fill stations, Fluid fill stations, CNC machining centers, robotic welders, coating systems).
- Responsible for all PLC and processor based equipment such as HMIs.
- Analyze and modify PLC programs.
- Investigate and correct machine control system failures resulting in minimal downtime, increasing productivity.
- Perform modifications of electrical schematics.
- Troubleshoot/debug and coordinate upgrade implementations to plant controls and instrumentation.
- Update program backups for automation
- Integrate plant automation controls with andon and MES systems
Minimum Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of PLC logic and controls
- Electrical Background
- Fundamental knowledge of production data collection systems
- Familiarity with CNC and robotic controls
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, team building, and communication skills
- Experience with Allen Bradley and Seimens PLCs
- Experience with Mazak CNC machining centers
- Experience with powder coating controls and processes
- Strong problem solving skills, including 8D's, FMEAs, and DMAIC's
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
