Description
Viva + Impulse Creative Co. is on the lookout for a talented, creative, and motivated web developer to join our growing team. It doesn't matter where you are located; we'll hire the best people from anywhere! This is a remote, part-time position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position. We are looking for someone who can work anywhere from 15-25 hours per week.
We are a Rails shop, so our ideal candidate would have an intermediate level of Rails knowledge and experience. We need someone who can quickly jump between a variety of Rails projects, from simple client websites to complex web applications. You do not need to be a Rails expert, but the more experience you have with Rails, the better.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Integrate new features and functionality into existing websites and web applications built using Ruby on Rails. Integrate front-end website templates with our custom-built content management system. Extend the functionality of our content management system by adding custom modules developed for each project. Design great-looking page elements to add to new and existing websites using HTML5 and CSS3 with a focus on color, layout, typography.

You are very organized and attentive to detail. You have strong verbal communication skills. You have strong written communication skills. You work well individually and as part of a team. You keep up to date on web design and web programming trends. You are self-motivated and take initiative with minimal handholding.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Ruby on Rails, Bootstrap, Git, SQL, and Sass/Less is required. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator is preferred. BA in Computer Science or other related field preferred but not required.
