Senior Commercial Manager- Aerospace & Defence Sector Aircraft & Helicopter Location Basingstoke £60,000- £70,000 + Car Allowance + Company bonus + Pension + Health care + Holiday BenefitsA world leading £million Aerospace & Defence Manufacturer & Aircraft Leaser are seeking a Proven Senior Commercial Manager to lead the UK and Middle East for this division. The position will report directly into the Head of Commercial sitting within a small commercial team.
This is a varied commercial opportunity with high level negotiation and commercial decision making as well as international exposure especially within the UK, Middle East and Caribbean. This is a senior opportunity, leading a number of high profile contracts with the MOD, Tri-services, International Governments as well as the Civil Aviation sector. Responsibilities:
- Manage and is responsible for commercial and contractual aspects of bids and contracts, ensuring the timely and accurate submission of bids and proposals.
- Controls all contract terms and conditions with customers and their flow down to subcontractors as appropriate.
- Supports the negotiation of new contracts as well as other business activities, including contractual arrangements with other companies
- Able to lead/ support complex high value bids and resolve customer issues
- Preparation of commercial agreements
- Liaison with other business departments and Directors to ensure consistency of the commercial processes
- Established and maintains good business relationships
Candidate Requirements:
- A proven Commercial Professional 5-10 years+ experience
- Aerospace & Defence background
- Sound understanding of commercial policy with large/ complex Defence contracts
- Familiar with ITAR/ Import and export regulations
- Familiar with Anti-bribery and corruption policy
- Ambitious wanting to develop attitude
- Degree educated or experience equivalent
- Proven negotiating skills, with the ability to achieve results
- Able to travel internationally where required (Europe, Middle East, Australia)
- Resides or able to relocate to a Basingstoke location
