Description
We are currently recruiting for a senior Infrastructure Engineer (F/M) to join one of our for public sector clients located in The Hague in the Netherlands. The contract is a minimum six months, to a year (with possible extension).
This is an English speaking role, although French or Germany would be an advantage.
Summary of task:
- deal with an existing infrastructure (development and testing environment, BCP/DRP environment) working with technologies like VMWARE/Windows, RedHat, Linux and AIX
- take part to the move of this infrastructure in the Client's datacenter in Luxembourg with a consolidation and a mutualization of the hardware
- ensure the day to day of this infrastructure in run-off mode
- consolidate a target solution of the new tool under Solaris 11 and Oracle 12
- Make the installation/configuration/local administration with a lot of agility.
About You:
- Being involved in this international project, willingness to travel is required as punctual opportunities may arise for travelling in Europe.
- You have a degree in Computer Science. Master degree is a plus.
- You are a self-starter and a customer oriented problem-solver.
- You are flexible, pro-active, structured and quality oriented.
- Team spirit is a strong requirement as well as clear and concise communication.
- You have minimum 5 years of experience in the IT Sector
- You have 3 years of experience in infrastructure Engineering
- You have a good level in written and spoken English. Mastering of French or German is a plus.
Required Technical Skills
- You have multiple skills centered on Unix/Linux platforms
- You have a good experience in Unix AIX (all versions), with - LPAR- partitioning/virtualization), Unix Solaris 11 (with - Zoning- partitioning/virtualization), Linux RedHat
- You have basic notions of EMC storage (VNX) and ESX Servers/VMWare virtualization
- You have experience working with Oracle: SQL
- You have experience in deployment and management of virtual environments as VMWare, Citrix, and Terminal Services.
- Supporting Microsoft Windows, MS SQL Server, SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange, ISA-Servers, and backup solutions is something you like. An MCSE certification is an asset.
- You have experience with management software such as SCCM, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and WINS.
