Description
We are looking for an experienced Core transmission (IP) backbone expert for redesign and implementation supervision (of vendor) for our customer's mobile backbone network redesign and extension. Position is located in New Delhi, India.
Primary tasks:
- Plan network infrastructure for backbone SDH and IP/MPLS, Core IP backbones and mw transmission
- Develop and implement procedures and standards that will provide effective workflows and satisfy our customer's business needs
- Undertake critical reviews of supplier's transmission network planning programs to ensure validity of information
- Monitors performance of supplier transmission planning activities to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions. Resolves transmission planning issues that arise out of contract interpretations, escalating those that go beyond level of authority
- Plan integration of telecom solutions with backbone, IP, SDH and transmission networks as per the directions of the Security Model, and maintaining isolation of security zones and accessibility between various network segments
- Secure our customer's platforms from intrusion, denial of service, traffic flooding and new vulnerability threats and malicious outbreaks
- Review, refine and validate the technical aspects of proposals for transmission optimizing network design and extension
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical/Telecommunication/Computer/Electronics Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years relevant experience in IP and Transmission Planning network activities
- Good knowledge of different Transmission network planning tools
- Experience from Huawei as vendor required
- Strong command of English
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Initiative and leadership skills
