Description

Splunk/Python Analyst Developer with Splunk query, alert and dashboard development experience along with Python programming sought by a major international Financial Services organisation.

The successful recruit will provide personalise data enrichment and automation expertise to Global Information Security counterparts, coordinating with external teams to facilitate access to network device and monitoring platform data stores. You will conduct analysis or network logs, network flow patterns and network payload leading to identification and development of new alerting criteria, as well as investigating and evaluating Cyber Security issues as it pertains to the enhancement of automated controls.

Requirements

  • Experience with development of Splunk queries, alerts and dashboards.
  • Experience programming in Python.
  • Experience with network monitoring and intrusion detection systems.
  • Ability to work with Technical and Non Technical people.
  • Persistent and Logical analyst and developer.
  • A broad knowledge of computer networking, log analysis and information security principles.
  • Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking
  • Confident and capable written and oral presentation skills.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and qualities which enable you to work with peers and various levels of management.
