Description
An experienced MSSQL Server DBA is required with extensive database production support, performance and tuning of mission critical databases within large complex environments. Involving plenty of project work.
You will maintain SQL server databases 2005 and , perform software upgrades, perform software patching and control of rollout and deliver SQL server performance and tuning support. This includes some Sybase on UNIX.
Competencies:
- Extensive knowledge of SQL server 2005, 2008 and 2012
- Experience with installation of SQL Server databases/hosting environments
- Experience with performance and tuning of SQL Server databases
- Technical leadership: advising application developers/junior DBAs
- Experience with Reporting Services
- Experience to work in a SQL Server hosting
- Knowledge of logical and physical Datamodelling
- Experience with Sybase as a second Database skill
- Experience with SQL Reporting Services
Job requirements
- 5+ years SQL Server DBA with experience working in large complex environments.
- Sybase on UNIX
- Certified SQL Server DBA: Database Administrator 2008 (preferable 2012)
