Commercial Manager - Risk Management, Supplier Management, Stakeholder Management, Performance Management, Commercial and Contract Management

A Commercial Manager with Risk Management, Supplier Management, Stakeholder Management, Performance Management and Commercial and Contract Management is required to work on a 6 month contract with the possibility of extension for a high profile Government organisation based in London.

Overview of the Commercial Manager Contract role

  • You will be supporting G7/G6 colleagues to identify and deliver £1m savings in the existing contract suite, through driving innovation or contract change
  • You will need to manage the appropriate calculation and application of service credit and/or liquidated damage in response to operational performance management reports, incorporating rigorous investigation of evidence presented in mitigation
  • You will need to robustly manage the Suppliers to ensure that they meet all the terms of their contracts including Issue resolution/escalation; initiating corrective action, extra activities and other commercial interventions as required.
  • You will need to negotiate, manage and formally document contract change as required, liaising with internal colleagues at the appropriate level
  • You will need to update the commercial databases including savings database and contract risk registers
  • You will need to maintain strategic operational relationships and support performance management with contractual advice.

Key skills required for the Commercial Manager

Essential Experience:

  • You will be responsible for the workings of commercial and contract management, supplier management, performance management and stakeholder management.
  • You will be driving supplier innovation delivering significant cost reductions
  • You will be responsible for risk management across the supply chain and dispute resolution.

Desirable Experience:

  • You should have knowledge of budget and resource management.
  • You should have knowledge of contractual change control management

The role is based in London this is commutable from Luton, Reading, Chelmsford, Canterbury and Guildford.
