Resource 1 is in need of a Sr. Project Manager for Des Plaines, Illinois. This is a long-term contract with the possibility of extensions or a conversion to perm. Individual should have at least 10 years of project management experience, which includes implementing and/or converting ERP systems. The initial project will involve a conversion of existing ERP systems to a new, proprietary ERP system. Individual should have a thorough understanding of full ERP implementation life cycle and have experience managing ERP projects from start to finish. Individual will be responsible for managing over the process mapping, data conversion and validation, finding gaps with how the new system functions (gap analysis), process flow analysis and identifying potential breakdowns. Individual will be assisting in building and managing teams of Business Analysts and Developers for this 2 - 3 year long project. Prior experience working with AS400 (iSeries) platform is plus, but not required. Individual should have extensive experience with project planning, tracking projects, reporting project status to upper management and budgeting. The selected ERP Project Manager should have very strong communication skills and possess a strong knowledge of the business side, as well as, the process flow.
