I am currently looking for an Field Application Engineer to join my clients Purification Division in Industrial Food and Beverages.

The location of this position is national, however part of the role will be based in Bracknell and ideal candidates will be a commutable distance from this location, other travel to UK&I customer locations will also be required.

Role Details

To help grow the Purification business in line with accelerated plans through appropriate application engineering, new product development and scientific leadership, particularly in the area of micro filtration and separation. You will be responsible for providing the technical support to customers including end users and channel partners UK & Ireland within the Food Service (Water Group), Industrial and Food & Beverage markets.

The key measures will be:
* Productivity through application development (sales converted) and business retention (complaints).
* Training and NPI activities with customers.
* The number of technical presentations and papers delivered
* Contributions to invention submission targets.

Skills, experience and key capabilities:

* Knowledge of filtration and separation; micro-filtration, reverse osmosis, ionic exchange, and adsorption, and knowledge of their engineering principles and their practical application.
* Aptitude for training at multiple levels of complexity- can make the complex seem simple
* Externally focused to industry/technology trends
* Ability to network in and outside of the company
* Intellectual property (IP) understanding an advantage
* Ability to be organised in the face of multiple time requirements
* Capable of working with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Proficient and energised by working to strict and tight deadlines
* Comfortable with following process and adhering to company guidelines
* Good telephone and customer facing manner
* Driving license essential.
* Building competitive value propositions for effective new product commercialization
* Developing & replicating novel, high impact applications, especially in the area of water treatment, filtration and separation.
* Developing a deep understanding of customer specifications, associated tests and qualifications
* Shaping industry standards, practices & regulations where possible and appropriate
* Harnessing insights from market & customer processes expertise
* Delivering customer/market focused training, developing and leveraging inspirational e-Media resources
* Taking voice of customer (VOC) from the field into product developments..
* Up to 60% travel across the UK and Ireland

Qualifications

BSc/B.Eng/M.Eng in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or related discipline
