Description

CloudBeds is looking to recruit a fierce and warrior-like all-in-one web developer who is craving the startup experience. You will be brought on as a senior engineer for a consumer facing (B2B) web application deployed in the hospitality space across the globe - United States, Brazil, and Western Europe. Working with limited supervision from our technical lead, you will work with a small team of engineers to maintain and optimize an entire product focused on managing channel inventory through partners such as Expedia, Booking.com, and others.

Responsibilities:

  • Be able to jump in and understand a large repository of code
  • Write clean and well-documented code
  • Own projects from start to finish
  • Write test cases to maintain product optimization and functionality
  • Develop application-backend and some frontend with provided design

    Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related major [CSC/CPE/SE]
  • Ability to work across a full stack
  • Intermediate - advanced knowledge of AWS architecture
  • Experience developing in Perl
  • Experience working with a distributed team
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both written and spoken English
  • Advanced skills in developing with at least one scripting language such as (PHP, Perl, or Python) and one compiled language
  • Advanced skills in MySQL
  • Linux (Ubuntu Server) administration
  • Ability to develop and integrate with a number of third-party API's with XML and JSON formats
  • Ability to work remotely and manage your own time (reporting to technical lead)
  • Ability to work and communicate well in a small team environment
  • Proficient using GIT repositories

    Must have familiarity with:

  • Familiarity with technologies such as Redis and Beanstakd
  • Nginx - Basic configuration
  • Screen-scraping techniques, website automation
  • Experience with Atlassian products [JIRA/BitBucket]
  • Passion for best coding and design practices
