C++ Developer - SQL - Python - Unix - Sybase
The system architecture favours parallel processing and the use of shared memory. The technology employed for new projects are C++ and Sybase for the Back End and C# for the front-ends. Python is being introduced to the Back End architecture. There is also Legacy code in C.
A number C# applications provide a Front End interface to the application, eg a Scheduler, Security system, Static Data Manager, Reconciliation, Drill Enquiry tool, Journal Entry and Manual Event entry facility.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of the following:
C++
SQL
Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ or other relational database
Unix (preferable Linux)
Python (would be advantageous)
The use of modelling tools.
Experience/knowledge of Accounting Systems or Investment Banking
Must have experience of developing in C++ on unix based system
