Role Title: Mifid 2 Compliance Officer
Division: Regulation, Change and Compliance
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months
Location: London
Salary: Competitive
Work Hours per Week: 37.5

Role Overview:

To support the effective implementation of regulatory reform and general regulatory developments by providing expert regulatory advice to all key stakeholders on the impacts and requirements of new rules and regulations during the initial advocacy and implementation stages of the regulatory change cycle.

Role Requirements:

*Work closely with Compliance Coverage Officers and other relevant Compliance stakeholders, Change and Business management to assess the potential impact of regulatory reform and general regulatory developments,
*Advise key stakeholders and internal change programmes on final rules to support an effective implementation
*Lead/co-ordinate the development of policy and training as required for the implementation of regulatory change
*Proactively engage with and represent the firm on relevant industry bodies and maintain links to regulators and industry groups as appropriate, ensuring effective knowledge sharing with key stakeholders to support the application of best practice.
*Engage with other regions to ensure appropriate cross border implementation of regulatory change.

Skills Required:

*Degree educated
*Experience of investment banking, asset management and private banking ideal
*Excellent understanding of the UK regulatory system and EU legislation
*Ability to identify key issues and either advise on them or source suitable advice within and outside the firm
*Reliable and organised self-starter that takes end-to-end ownership of matters
*Strong analytical and communication skills, in particular good drafting skills and ability to present complex issues to mixed specialist and non-specialist audiences
*Experience of advising large firm-wide regulatory change programmes highly desirable
*Strong influencing skills
