Social Media Analyst: Analytics: World Leading Oil Company

World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Analyst to join a fast-paced environment with the following dimensions:

Dimensions:

  • Responsible for social media analytics agency and vendor relationships and management.
  • Global social media analytics scope across all countries and businesses across this global Oil and Gas company.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Social Media listening and analytics to inform both proactive strategy and reactive community management needs.
  • Promote synergies and cross-functional collaboration in the deployment of Social Media analytics programs across Corporate and Businesses, including Licensee markets.
  • Provide analysis of social landscape and audience buzz volume, frequency, velocity, demographics, and related dimensions relative to internal business channels.
  • Perform social listening in order to understand business communities, share of voice, brand mentions, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Develop actionable insights based on social media analysis, and be able to present those insights to internal teams and external agency partners on a regular basis.
  • Develop quantitative analyses, custom models and ad hoc reports to effectively monitor performance, trends, and opportunities within social media channels.
  • Familiarity with and regular use of native analytics from Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube, among others.
  • Familiarity with Social Media distribution tools eg Adobe Social, Percolate etc.
  • Use of analytic software such as: IMS Suite, Excel, RDBMS (eg SQL Server), Statistics Package (eg SPSS, SAS, eViews, R), Data Visualization (eg Tableau).

About You:

  • Ability to effectively operate within a fast-paced, constantly evolving, team environment.
  • A champion of Social Media analytics, truly passionate for monitoring insights and act on their findings.
  • Ability to effectively influence and communicate with all levels of management
  • Excellent oral, written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Degree in quantitative field of study.

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
