Unix Systems Administrator - Financial Services - London, CityUnix systems administrator is required by a financial services client of mine based in the city. This is a great opportunity for a Unix Systems Administrator to come on board this data centre migration project. As the Unix Systems Admin you will be required to provide day-to-day support for all Unix services across the organisation.
As the Unix Systems Administrator, you will act as the main point of contact for the Unix platform. Regular tasks will involve system event monitoring, capacity management, release life cycles, patch management and proactive vulnerability assessments.
You will also need experience of Linux Red Hat Enterprise and Solaris 10 administration and will need to have worked within the financial services domain. Candidates without financial services background may not be submitted to the role due to the client's requirements.
Essential Skills:
- Solid unix systems administration
- Linux/Solaris Administration (RHEL 5/6 and Solaris 10)
- Veritas 6.x (Cluster Server, Volume Manager and File System)
- Oracle RAC
- Red Hat cluster suite
- Working knowledge of puppet
- Strong Scripting ability (Bash, Bourne and Perl)
