Description
An established International Bank are seeking an excellent Mainframe Developer (HOGAN) to work on fundamental banking applications project.
Initial duration is 6 months with a high possibility of extending.
You must have Hogan Mainframe Development knowledge.
The role:
- Capability to contribute strongly to a highly motivated team working to tight deadlines and to work on own initiative
- Proven design and development experience in HOGAN ILP applications
- Excellent analytical, design and development skills with a clear and concise understanding of all aspects of a Development life cycle
- Excellent communication skills - effective verbal and written communication skills of both technical and business nature
- Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent self-starter with the capability to show drive and resilience to take initiative in a demanding environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Work in a professional manner at all times, adhering to IT standards and policies and demonstrates a positive can do' attitude
- Ability to focus on the customer and deliver to deadlines
- High levels of leadership, dependability, flexibility, enthusiasm, commitment, supportiveness, involvement, openness and clarity
- Excellent technical acumen and problem solving skills
- An ability to learn and understand complex business and IT systems and processes
Experience Required:
- Mainframe software development - significant technical experience at expert level (HOGAN ILP, Cobol, JCL, VSAM, Fileaid, Xpediter, Endevor etc)
- Mainframe Systems Software development life cycle, procedures and standards
- Banking/Financial systems knowledge
- Change Management
- Project Delivery
