Overview of the position
Our award winning and pioneering Telecoms client is currently looking for a dynamic and results driven Procurement specialist to come in and deliver a Programme of works to maximize and deliver the best value from suppliers across their existing range of innovative products and Services. This is a real chance to get involved with all areas of the supply chain at the highest level within this leading company. You will have a real chance to create a lasting Legacy and build even more value into the companies bottom line for any years to come.
Essential Skills:
- At least 7-10 years Senior Procurement experience.
- Experience of at least 3-4 similar procurement end-to-end reviews and major cost savings.
- Telecoms experience around Voice and Data networks would be an advantage
- Supplier experience working with BT, Alcatel Lucent, Huawei, Vodafone or similar another advantage.
- Good facilitation skills - able to run workshops and external supplier meetings
- Excellent friendly and proven inter-personal and communications skills.
Role requirements:
- Review of our clients existing contracts and soon to be renewed contracts to achieve the best possible price and terms.
- Review of material non contractual costs in the business to maximise on going value.
- Carry out negotiations (along with their procurement manager) and their suppliers to achieve absolute best terms.
- Devise effective processes to organise procurement activity in a proactive manner to continually achieve best deals for the business now and in the future.
- Create a rolling plan and strategy to keep maximizing best terms for the business.
- Bring some great wins to the bottom line.
- Create internal blue prints and strategies for the business internally when selling on their products and services.

An allowance of £1000 will also be paid per month to help with accommodation and flights.
