Informatica ETL Expert is immediately sought by leading global organisation based in Nottingham.
- Informatica Powercenter 9.x experience is Essential.
- IBM DB2 10.5 (Blue) is Desirable.
The Informatica ETL expert will also have good communication and writing skills. The person will be comfortable working in an Agile Data Warehousing Design environment that is subject to change and have the aptitude to handle the frustrations that can sometimes occur in a Greenfield BI programme.
FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS
Ability to translate business requirements into lightweight Functional Specifications
Ability to understand business rules and translate them into physical ETL transforms
Experience in writing ETL Functional Specifications to JEDUF (Just Enough Design Up Front)
Confidence & verbal skills to clarify business rules with business users as required
Knowledge & experience of data profiling
BEST PRACTICE
Familiarity with the 34 Kimball ETL subsystems
Ability and willingness to contribute heavily into the design and implementation of the ETL subsystems
Ability to write design documents
Maintain metadata
TESTING & LIFECYCLE
Experience in preparing test data, writing unit test scripts and undergoing unit testing
Experience in the full development life cycle of ETL mappings
Experience in handling and resolving defect fixes identified in unit test, integration test, system test, regression test, PSV test, and UAT
Experience of handovers from development to support and providing support where expertise is necessary
