Description

A Renewable Energy client is looking for an Operations and Maintenance (O & M) Concept Engineer to work on a new development offshore wind project. This role will be supporting the current origination team completing a 6-12 months contract in Hamburg.



Scope:

  

Development of operations concept for future technology offshore wind farm projects



- Evaluation of potential future WTG / foundation / substation from an operations perspective



- Analyse technology-specific framework requirements and assist in deriving optimal operations set-ups including logistics and infrastructure needs



 

Implement the tailored operations concept for future technology construction wind farm projects



- Assist in deploying and implementing the developed O&M strategy as a member of the project team, functionally reporting into the O&M Package Manager



- Provide input, review and comment designs of crew vessels, site facility and quayside layout,



- Provide operational requirements to the engineering team and review technical designs



- Gather lessons learned on other sites within the client's offshore fleet and make sure they are taken into account in the engineering and design of future farms



- Assist in negotiating service contracts for the operations phase and address O+M requirements covered in the turbine and other infrastructure supply agreements



Support planning activities



- Support, align and optimise O+M package in contract placement planning with a focus on fleet-wide optimisation and synergies



- Support, align and optimise particular offshore wind projects in financial planning activities such as long-term OPEX modelling



- Gather information from existing sites on campaign planning, e.g. maintenance campaigns and major component exchanges



Coordinate and support divestment process from a technical O&M perspective



- Give input to O&M concept for potential financial partners (e.g. availability calculation, accessibility study, failure rates and related spare parts statistics)



- Give input to O+M concept with regards to major component exchanges and jack-up vessel deployment



- Identify cost saving potentials focusing on synergies and scale-effects



- Facilitate the cross-site stock and spare usage and develop particular spare parts concept covering all parts of the wind farm (e.g. WTG / foundation / substation)



- Support operations management and service contract negotiations with potential shareholders



Qualifications



- Knowledge of O&M



- Previous experience in setting up O+M concepts



- Fluency in German language skills is required



- Dutch sector would be an advantage.
