*** Senior Tester / QA Lead required Manchester - 6 month Contract ***

Senior Tester / QA Lead is required for an initial 6 month contract based in Manchester. You will be joining a team of C# Developers who have been developing large scale web based applications for an array of critical projects. You will be an experienced Manual and Automation tester with experience of web application testing.

Type - Contract (6 months +)

Location - Manchester

Rates - £300 - £350 per day DOE

Start Date - ASAP

This is a varied role, meaning you will be comfortable working closely with developers, as well as performing UAT with the business. A key aspect of the role, will be ensuring that only quality code is accepted into the system, and then using Selenium / C# to set up automated processes where possible.

Essential Skills:

- Manual Testing

- Automation Testing

- Selenium

- 3rd Party integration

- Test Plan and script creation

- Develop user stories / user test cases

- SpecFlow / Gherkin

- Documentation

- Agile / SCRUM

Desirable skills:

- C#

- Performance & stress testing

- Experience of working in a .Net Environment (Web Based)

- Penetration testing

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tester to join an organisation and make a real impact. They ideally need someone who is familiar with working with a development team that is currently moving into an agile methodology (SCRUM based) with an aim to implementing best practice and ensuring the quality of their output is controlled and increased. Someone with a real passion and enthusiasm is ideally what the client is looking for. Ideally you will be accustomed to getting up to speed quickly, and getting to grips with how the business works. Linked to this you will be comfortable taking the initiative and speaking to non technical colleagues within different departments to find answers to pressing questions.
