Our client, a large banking organisation is looking to recruit an experienced MI consultant to join a digital team on a rolling contract based in the West Country.

Job Purpose

This role is to support the MI & Insight Manager within Digital Data & Insight with the management and deliverables of the wider MI & Insight team. The individual will be responsible for supporting the business across various work streams, developing stakeholder relationships, providing detailed analysis where required and coaching and developing the MI & Insight Team. This role is responsible for producing effective management information and reporting designed to help the digital bank make key business decisions, measure delivery against target, improve customer experience, increase usage and managing BI resources.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support and represent the MI & Insight Manager in the running of the MI & Insight Team.
  • Manage and develop key stakeholder relationships across the business.
  • Coach others with their technical and personal development to deliver expert support to all key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Digital products and services
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of all the available MI data sources, reports and analyses produced for Digital
  • In depth analysis and understanding of performance, site usage and related customer/market trends for Internet Banking.
  • Produce both ad-hoc and regular reports for stakeholders that provide actionable insights.
  • Liaise with wider Digital data & Insight team and external agencies to manage resources and further develop the CLOVA and the Digital Reporting Layer.
  • Collate and provide input into MI requirements for upcoming projects and marketing campaigns.
  • Work with Risk Control Colleagues to monitor Digital's adherence to conduct regulatory requirements.
  • Ad-hoc creation of reports for Head of Commerce and Chief Digital Officer
  • Implementation of recurrent reporting

Key Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience of planning and prioritising across multiple work streams.
  • Ability to coach and develop best practise data extraction techniques, ideally proficient at SQL to ensure robust insight is developed and maintained.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interpret customer requirements and understand the impact of change.
  • Strong analytical skill set with ability to solve problems and think through issues
  • Good understanding of MI systems, data sources and platforms.
  • Good team coach, able to motivate and develop the team
  • Good/Advanced knowledge of Excel (ideally with experience of using Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP and Web Queries).
  • Experience of working with Tag Management Solutions preferred.
  • Experience of any web analytics tools (eg Webtrends), data visualisation tools (eg Tableau), and the ability to understand HTML/JavaScript code a distinct advantage.
