Proteus Europe is currently searching for a Image quality engineer to join one of our clients development teams. Working in our Image Quality Team, ensuring the quality of the images produced by our firmware and algorithms in a range of camera and display subsystems by undertaking testing and analysis of images. This is a technical analysis position and is not suitable for candidates wishing to pursue research in this field.Reporting Relationship: This position reports to our Image Quality Lead
Job description: To undertake testing and verification of systems to ensure our image quality:
- Sensor calibration
- Image Signal Processor (ISP) pipeline tuning
- Image quality testing
- Field testing
- Test documentation
Skills Required:
- Proficient in Matlab
- Understanding of CMOS or CCD sensor test methodologies
- Working knowledge of general ISP and image processing algorithms
- Experience of subjective and objective image analysis and tools
- Good report writing skills
- Statistical analysis
- Understanding of 3A algorithms (Auto White Balance, Auto Focus, Auto Exposure)
- Understanding of the difference between Bayer space, YUV and RGB
- Familiarity with Image quality testing software such as IMATEST
- Embedded C
Experience:
Working experience within the field of Image Quality (for example, 3A algorithms tuning) within a camera, sensor or ISP development environment.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelors or equivalent degree in a relevant technical subject.
