Informatica Architect
Informatica Architect: Informatica Architect is urgently required for a long term contract, with a large BlueChip company paying great rates in an amazing location.

The Informatica Architect should ideally have the following skills:
Informatica ILM, Informatica PWX, SQL server, Oracle, Informatica Power center, IMS, DB2
Extensive experience in data archiving, database design(relational & hierarchical), data integration and analytics
Experience architecting/designing and implementing large complex data archiving and Business Intelligence reporting.
establishing or leading data conversion from hierarchical to relational DB using INFA PWX and establish data integration capability.
Strong understanding of hierarchical, relational and multi-dimensional database designs
Experience with BI, Analytics
Expert knowledge in SQL, procedure languages and database access tools
Expert knowledge of relational and hierarchical database design concepts
Extensive experience working with Mainframe system
Experience with ETL technologies
Experience in analysing source system, data flows
Good understanding of both database and data archival performance tuning
Good understanding of database related utilities and tools
Good understanding of testing of source & target data.
Good understanding of Mainframe and data vault database
Good Understanding in Unix programming and the underlying operating systems
strong leadership skills,problem solving skills, communication, interpersonal and planning skills
Experience in Insurance, Banking or Financial service industries.
The Informatica Architect will have the following daily tasks:
Working day to day on project teams to satisfy new business demands by building new capabilities into IDV.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current and Informatica technologies and standards and provide technical direction to management and users
Work productively in a team environment
Providing technical directions to other team members
Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development teams
Work with management and staff to establish and maintain consistent process for the data archive environment
Establish sound backup and recovery policies and procedures of DV
Plan for data archival growth and changes (Capacity planning)
Provide leadership in the installation and management of ILM and DB infrastructure server.
