Description
A key client of mine is currently looking for an Embedded Linux engineer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract. You will have the option to work remotely should this be a preference.
Key skills:
- Linux Administration (desktop), including Scripting in Shell, using linux utilities like SED, AWK, cron
- Embedded Linux development on ARM platforms
- Buildroot and/or OpenWRT
- C and/or C++, with at least one other OOL (eg Python, Java)
- Networks, network configuration, network setup
- Ability to understand and configure network interfaces and protocols in an Embedded Linux target environment
- LAN and WAN ports; Ethernet and Cellular interfaces; SSH, VPN, Port forwarding, NAT, IPSec, etc.
- Router capabilities in Embedded Linux
- Modbus protocol and configuration
- Working knowledge of Cryptography and encryption will be extremely advantageous
