Description

Summary:
Perform activities in support of maintaining application Wind and Power PI (Plant Information) system. May assist in the coordination of tasks for subordinates.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs system administration (support, security, analysis, design, coding, implementation, maintenance, backups, troubleshooting, etc.) for company's Production SCADA System (OSIsoft PI Historian and PI Asset Framework) and External interfaces and related systems
  • Interfaces with Control Center personnel, field technicians and other support personnel in supporting and enhancing systems.
  • Capable of learning computer applications in a quick and efficient manner
  • Reviews pact and consequences of system changes, builds, and installations, to ensure that all service level agreements and operational compliance requirements are met.
  • Performs, documents and assists in planning work activities relating to projects, sub-projects, or processes.
  • Maintains engagement with business and IT partners.
  • Assists other support personnel.
  • Utilizes best practices to improve products and services. Apply and verify compliance to standards as defined within the Management Model.
SKILLS:

Required:
  • Previous experience with supporting, maintaining, designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and commissioning a OSIsoft PI Historian and PI Asset Framework.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Solid knowledge of Windows and Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)
  • General understanding of scripts and batch files
  • Confident understanding of security concepts such as authentication and authorization
  • Experienced in writing SQL queries

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree and typically 3 to 5 years related experience in the IT application support, SCADA support or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Real Time systems, particularly SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of business practices and processes in the Power Generation industry.
