Web Producer

Description

• This Web Producer role is responsible for the ongoing management of the severity 2, 3, and 4 defects queue on ePlatform.
• Responsibility includes ensuring all relevant defects reported to be impacting are transcribed with necessary details into defect ticket systems (Rally/JIRA/etc), along with appropriate severity and priority as determined by our business partners, and are in the correct status (Opened, Resolved, Closed, Tracking, etc.)
• In addition to the core responsibilities noted above, the role is responsible for coordinating UAT coverage for weekly maintenance releases, and providing general oversight and management of UAT resources validating defect work.

• Participate in the defect triage and prioritization process for all Severity 2, 3 and 4 defects submitted into the ePlatform defect queue and ensure proper routing of those defects into the Tier 2 and Tier 3 Support teams queues.
• Ensure all reported defects are transcribed into appropriate defect ticket systems (Rally/JIRA) with all relevant details along with severity, priority, and status.
• Work with our technology partners to drive timely resolution of open defects assigned to them and provide recommendations for process improvement/best practices to achieve success
• Measure and report on defect aging and throughput metrics across multiple intakes.
• Create actionable plans to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and increase deployment success.
• Work with the UAT resources testing our business partner's requirements, associated with assigned maintenance releases in partnership with UAT Test Manager, to ensure system and customer experience meets approved business acceptance criteria as required.

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated public speaking and presentation comfort/skill and experience.
• Deep knowledge of current web technologies (HTML, XML, Scripting, Javascript, etc) and software test methodologies.
• Preferred experience with E-commerce transactional processes (credit cards, product relationships, workflows) and platforms (IBM WebSphere Commerce)
• Knowledge of SAP and other Back End systems used industry wide (eg Cybersource, Verid, Paymentech, etc).
• Strong analytic/problem-solving skills.
• Ability to write clear defects, as well as screen, manage, and own resolution of defects
• Ability to proactively self manage work with a high sense of accountability.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules when needed (after hours and weekends included) to support project releases.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel (model building, pivot tables, graphing, etc.), Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio.

• (5-7) years in technical project management experience and working with Web Developers, Engineers, UI Designers and QA to implement Web features.
• (5 -7) years of experience in software testing creating and writing Test plans, specifications, and scripts.
• Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle (Waterfall and Agile) in leading and testing Client Server and Web based applications using Black Box testing, Functional, Regression, Integration, System, User Acceptance, Back End testing and Performance testing.
• Experience representing business owners (eg Product Managers) and acting as a business advocate within the testing cycle.
• Experience with defect management systems (Quality Center, JIRA, etc..), Agile management systems (Rally), and SharePoint.
• Wireless experience a plus

• PMP certification or equivalent experience required.
• BA/BS or equivalent experience required. MS a plus.

• 4-6 years experience in web design/web development
• Understanding of web design/web development concepts and processes
• HIGH level of attention to detail, effective internal communications, ability to work both independently and in a team atmosphere, creative problem solving with analytical skills, familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite.
