Description

Overview:
  • The IT Quality Test Analyst is an integral member of the IT team and will work collaboratively with the Project Manager, Solutions Lead, Business Analyst and others to carry out various project activities related to the implementation of a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solution for the engineering community.
  • The project entails business process redesign through post solution deployment support.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for understanding to-be process, requirements, etc. and the development of a comprehensive testing strategy, using cases and test cases/scripts
  • Responsible for manual test execution, documentation and issue management (logging, managing, follow-up with correct resources for resolving, analytics/reporting)
  • Interact with various groups including business, business analyst, authorization analyst, solution lead, communication lead, project management etc.
  • Assist business with User Acceptance Test plan and test case development
  • Actively participate in walk-through, inspection, review and user group meetings for quality assurance
  • Participate in production implementation verification and being accountable for validating system quality
  • Communicate and interact with appropriate areas on problems, changes and enhancements that may impact data, workflow and/or functionality
  • Comply with standards of the software development life cycle and follow strategies, plans and procedures within information Technology software
  • Comply with standards and strategies of the software development life cycle
SKILLS:

Qualifications:
  • BS degree in computer science or related field
  • 5 + years of experience in the software QA field contributing to test plans/strategies, test case creation, test execution and results management
  • 5+ years working in the PPM space
  • Knowledge of QA test planning and test Case Tools, such as HP ALM
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Visio)
  • Experience with PPM tools like Planisware, Planview and CA Clarity a must.
  • Hands-on strong experiences in the PPM functional areas of Resource Management, Project Management, Project Accounting and Reporting & Analytics
  • Experience with Portfolio Management, Roadmapping and Innovation Management a plus
  • Experience in a large and complex enterprise environment
  • Experience with projects which include data conversations from multiple applications
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle including change management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Working well in a collaborative, team environment as well as independently
  • Strong problem solving and team player skills
