ITSM ServiceNow: Application engineer: Luxembourg, contract 3-6-12 months
ITSM ServiceNow of IBM. Reporting on DWH, supporting team, modify small components in SN, document in gira, manage user activity, extract data, write simple reports. Service Now; modify workflow and scripts. SQL needed.
The Application Engineer will be responsible for managing and resolving the daily challenging issues for the Enterprise Management team focusing on ServiceNow, Assyst and Reporting.
The candidate will have to quickly gain an understanding of the current ServiceNow implementation, the existing Assyst implementation and the ongoing DWH and Reporting Project.
This is a customer-facing role and therefore it requires strong inter-personal skills in addition to strong technical skills, strong personal commitment to quality and customer service and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- A good knowledge of ITSM (ServiceNow and Assyst) ITIL, CMDB
- A good knowledge of ETL, IBM PureData, IBM DataStage, SAP Business Object
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot difficult technical issues and to work in team
- Must have experience implementing and maintaining one (or more) of the following:
- ServiceNow (main processes, custom workflows, Scripting, service catalog, CMDB, administration)
- Any bi-directional, automated integration between two systems
- Working knowledge of the components in a web applications stack
- Experience in one (or more) Scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, etc.
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience with Data Extraction Technologies (eg JDBC, ODBC)
- Datawarehouse
- Reporting systems
- Professional level fluency to read, write and speak English
Daily activities:
- Modify small components (catalog, workflows, scripts) in Service now in order to implement some basic functionalities
- Document activities in JIRA
- Prepare technical documentation
- Technical troubleshooting
- User administration
- Data extraction
