Description

Events and Communications Coordinator required by our government department required by our public sector client based in Liverpool, North West with some travel to London

You will be responsible for assisting the Events Manager in organising and running a range of external customer events and internal staff events.

In addition, they will provide forward planning and administrative support for the communications team and manage the diary of the Head of Communications, as well as assisting with media monitoring and social media delivery.

Essential Experience:

Providing support to the Events Manager in organising and running events including assisting with logistics, manning event stands and evaluating impact.

To lead on managing the weekly and long-term forward planning grids for both internal and external communications, and coordinate process for updating grids with range of internal stakeholders.

To provide administrative support to Head of Comms and rest of team eg managing diaries,setting up meetings, booking rooms and travel.

Building a good relationship with CEOs Private Office and other key internal stakeholders

Assisting with media monitoring and social media publishing.

Producing occasional Powerpoint presentations for Head of Comms or other team members

To run stats and populate evaluation dashboards on weekly basis

Knowledge

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, use of Apple Macs and google apps/gmail an advantage.

Understands principles of good events management and logistics

Interest in communications and understanding of using digital and social media channels

Good knowledge of strategic planning processes.

Understands how to evaluate and experience in delivering events
