Description

About Interpersonal Frequency (I.F.)
I.F. is a profitable, 6 year-old company with team members in Seattle, Brooklyn, Texas and the DC area. We provide a remote work environment, you don’t need to move for this job, but you’re welcome to join any of our offices if you choose, or happen to live in the area.
At I.F., we’re putting the government in the cloud. We build, maintain, and grow sites on our open web stack for some of the largest cities, public libraries, and government agencies in the country. We also created a suite of proprietary analytics tools that survey 3.4 million Americans each day. We are bringing in new clients faster than our team can handle, and are looking for a Support Engineer to help us support our ongoing clients, and maintain wonderful, deep relationships with them.

Who you are
You have experience in Drupal development for more than 4 years. You are flexible and have passion for working with clients and Support Managers to support sites used by millions of people. You have a good mixture of planning, risk taking and a “get-it-done” attitude. You value the open source community. You can clearly explain your ideas to clients and other team members both verbally and in writing. You confidently dive into new sites to understand the infrastructure, identify any issues and squash bugs in a timely fashion. Most of all, you’re not a jerk: you like to have fun and work with a small team! You play well with others (not just engineers).

What you’ll do
You'll be in charge of support and maintenance for I.F.’s myriad ongoing customers. You will work with our Support Manager and our clients to provide estimates for bug fixes, new features, and site enhancements, then you’re the one who gets to dive in and make the changes. This is a fast paced job. You’ll be working on several sites, and honing your expertise in front-end theming, back end integrations, and Drupal development, while working with our engineering team and learning new skills and tools quickly. Responsiveness and high-touch with clients is also important; none of I.F.’s maintenance customers have ever left, and we intend to keep them happy for years to come!
