ODN Design Engineer – FTTPOur client, a global leading telecommunication company are recruiting for an ODN Design Engineer – FTTP to join their business in the United Kingdom.
Position Title: ODN Design Engineer – FTTP

Responsibilities:
- Prepare, monitor and control the FTTP cable network civil design activities by internal staff and/or subcontractors in ensuring that the ODN network is designed in a cost effective manner
- Manage the ODN design activities in ensuring that the design output are submitted and approved timely to meeting the project's schedule, quality standards and customer needs
- Conduct Design Review Meetings and Workshops as required; and to formulate and approve the ODN design guidelines and drafting standards/requirements for the turnkey project
- Investigate and determine if survey reports/results are acceptable and determine/justify the Feeder, FDT and Distribution cable routing and locations
- Ensure the subcontractor's’ performance meet the required specifications/guidelines and quality standard, and take remedial actions when required
- Carry out feasibility and BOQ study and formulate Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) on FTTP ODN projects, and prepare proposals or reports
- Identify training requirements for subordinates and establish individual development plan for internal staff and subcontractor
Qualifications:
- Higher Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Civil Engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years working experiences in telecommunication OSP fields
- Training/Qualification recognized by appropriate authorities
- Good inter-personal, negotiation and communication skill with customer-oriented mindset
- Able to lead and manage a working team
