M+E Clerk of Works - 6 month Contract - Immediate Start Available
We are recruiting for one of the nation's largest commercial companies who provide an extensive range of construction services including construction management, general contracting, design and build and preconstruction.
The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Clerk of Works with Mechanical and electrical experience to join our team in Peterborough on an 6 Month contract basis. As the successful candidate you will have great attention to detail and be experienced in M&E Supervision of contractor PPM and emergency/routine maintenance, writing up technical specifications, Presentation of the technical package to the incumbent contractors as well as Supervision of the contractors in the execution of the works. This will also involve Project management of M&E Technical and Commercial matters. Chair the weekly progress meetings, writing up of the CDM and Execution Plans, Sustainability Appraisals and Programs.
The candidate
- Competent and proactive with previous experience in the field
- Understanding of Scope of works onsite and the hurdles faced therein
- Well versed in M+E site processes and works
- Previous supervisory experience
- CSCS, SMSTS, HNC Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Clerk Of Works Construction Inspectorate GB qualifications and experience
Key Requirements:
Extensive experience in working on civil engineering projects in a similar roll, mainly Highways, Bridges and Flyovers, HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering desirable
Must be a team player but also able to work on own initiative, and be able to supervise large teams.
Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation
