GSM/GSM-R Access Network EngineerWe are currently recruiting for our client, a global system integrator and supplier of end-to-end telecommunications solutions, for a GSM/GSM-R Access Network Engineer in Austria.
Position Title: GSM/GSM-R Access Network Engineer
Position Type: Contract / Permanent
Start Date: August 2017
Duration: 2 months rolling / option of permanent contract

Responsibilities:
- Develop mobile Access Network Engineering solutions (Network Design) based on customer requirements including service plans, capacity and functional scope requirements
- Collect and complete configuration engineering for all network elements after review with customers
- Perform assignments within schedule, with high quality, following established processes, customer specific requirements and engineering guidelines
- Provide timely support to customers for access engineering questions/issues. Work to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate project status and escalate problems and work proactively to deliver solutions
- Share knowledge with the engineering team and ensure new found knowledge is captured with appropriate tool and process updates
- Stay abreast of new product engineering guidelines and stay up to date with the latest technologies in order to deliver ideal network designs to the customers
- Proactively drive efficiency into the engineering processes
Qualifications:
- University degree in telecommunications or electronics engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in network engineering
- Experienced in designing GSM/GSM-R mobile access solution
- Experienced in GSM/GSM-R Access Network Engineering and used to create engineering documents and data fills
- Excellent written and spoken English and preferable good command of German
- Team player, also capable of autonomous working
- Excellent presentation skills and professional appearance
