Description
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop a test automation strategy, software validation, and simulation framework in alignment with industry-standard practices for manufacturing equipment control systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, and other PLC based platforms).
- Apply the latest techniques in test automation, software simulation, testing methodologies, verification and validation techniques, defect/bug tracking tools and procedures.
- Work with Automation Controls Engineers using risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain and execute nightly automated functional, regression and performance test suites.
- Knowledge and proficiency in writing and optimizing PLC programs using the IEC standard programming languages for various platforms like Beckhoff TwinCAT
- Experience with cross-platform software development with Python, C/C++, or Java.
- Validation of software tools for manufacturing.
REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated ability to design and develop software test automation, simulation, or validation methodologies and tools.
- Experience with version control.
- Python or other object-oriented programming languages such as C++ or Java.
- General knowledge of automotive manufacturing industry preferred.
- Proficiency with CAD tools.
