Description

Our client is a highly successful international organisation located nearby to Sheffield, they require an Industrial Electrical Design Engineer on a 3 month contract.

The core focus of this role to take panel designs that are completed by other members and then produce a cable schedule for the system and then design the installation of the cables using AutoCAD.

Our client already has the technology, fabrication and the teams in place, what they require is an Industrial Electrical Design Engineer who can put all the data together to allow an Electrical team to understand what to do on site.

Skills and requirements

Electrical Design Engineer (Industrial)

Experience in BMS (Building management systems)

Experience using 2D and 3D CAD products to produce layover drawings for all containment

Cable schedules & calculations

17th Edition Regulations BS7671 or the new 18th Edition

Experience of tray, trunking, conduit, SWA cables

Putting together technical files.

This role is suited to an Electrical Design Engineer who has the drawing ability but electrical bias. The requirement is relatively straightforward as our client has a wealth of knowledge in-house, they just need it all putting together.

Ideally, (NOT ESSENTIAL) the Electrical Design Engineer will be qualified with either the 17th or 18th Edition Regulations BS7671
