Description
We are looking for a Lead Engineer / Product Owner.This includes the following responsibilities:
• Support building up, developing and guiding an infrastructure DevOps team
• Define and implement the strategy and the vision together with the team
• Gather, validate and prioritize client needs and own and maintain the requirement backlog
• Understand the customer needs, and translate them into meaningful, usable stories;
• Ensures that the team understands the backlog items to the needed level
• Be the “gate keeper” of our offer, and push back unnecessary request
• Responsible for defining and implementing the roadmap
• Represent the "voice of the customer" within the team
• Collaborate with strategic and technical leads, other PO´s and the DevOps team to deliver a solution
• Take responsibility of the platform infrastructure operations
• Evaluate new technologies in the field of infrastructure automation and cloud computing
The following technical skills are required for this particular position:
Required Skills:
• Master in business informatics, computer science, or similar areas
• Experience as product owner or lead engineer in an DevOps / infrastructure team
• Technical knowledge and broad understanding of one or more of the following topics:
o Linux incl. Scripting (Bash, Python)
o Cloud Infrastructure / Cloud Services (e.g. Azure, AWS)
o Container Orchestration (Kubernetes, Nomad)
o Log and metrics management (ELK Stack), Monitoring (Prometheus)
o Infrastructure as code / Deployment and configuration automation
o Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery
o Infrastructure Security Principles / Networking
o Databases, Distributed Systems (e.g. Spark), Event-Based Systems (e.g. Kafka)
• Critical thinking generated by observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, and communication.
• Able to demonstrate how customer centric thinking is expressed and reinforced through the digital product design processes
• Experience with common agile working tools (e.g. Jira, Slack, Confluence, Git)
• DevOps mindset (you build it, you run it; taking responsibility for your work)
• Team player open to work in an agile environment
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is a must, other languages (e.g. German, French, Italian, etc.) are a plus
