Senior Design Engineer - Aberdeen. Competitive Salary PackageProgressive GE is currently working with a global service company in the recruitment of a Senior Design Engineer to be based on a permanent basis in North Aberdeen.
You will be joining the Subsea Engineering team that specialise in ROV tooling to ensure that all projects are delivered within tight time frames and within budgets.
You will be working closely with the Engineering Manager and day to day responsibilities include:
- Supervise design projects from design conception through to testing
- Review of 2D drawings and 3D models
- Review and create calculations
- Review as well as create procedures and aftermarket manuals
- Supervise subcontractor activity on the project
- Develop and mentor more junior engineers as well as allocate work to design engineers and draughtsman
Skills and experience required:
- Experience in both design and manufacture processes
- Experience of ROV's and subsea product lines
- Strong experience in both 2D and 3D CAD programs
- Proven experience in FEA
- Engineering degree or extensive experience within a similar role
