Modis are currently recruiting for a Senior Structures Engineer for a market leading aerospace client based near Bedford, for a 9 month contract role starting ASAP.
Working alongside some of the largest Defence & Aerospace companies in the world, my client has taken on a number of additional projects and now is looking to expand their current team.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Structures Engineer with at least 5 years' senior level experience in the aerospace industry working on composite and metallic structures.
The candidate will be responsible for progressing the design and development of all rigid airframe structures for projects as instructed by the head of rigid structures. This will include structures both of composite and metallic construction for all the company's products. These tasks shall be carried out whilst ensuring that all applicable EASA design and environmental requirements are complied with and that the product meets certification requirements set out by EASA or military customers.
Further to this, the successful candidate will provide specialist supports for technical matters pertaining to the structural design team as well as defining and agreeing test plans and specifications for structural systems.
Technical Skills:
*Familiarity with current structural design and office software in an Aerospace environment.
*SolidWorks design experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
*Good understanding of CS xx., 25, 27 or 29) and associated guidance.
*Good understanding of EASA certification procedures.
