Hello

I am looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor for one of the public sector client. Below is the job description of the same.

Location: Preferably London based however the client can be flexible with this. Home based, required to travel to EFA sites roughly 3 days per week, including London, Manchester, Sheffield and Coventry.
Contract Length: 4 months

Essential Experience:
Full membership of a relevant professional body as a quantity surveyor (eg the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
Experience of cost management of a building project from feasibility stage, through procurement, design development and construction, to completion and handover
Proven and in-depth experience at project level of whole-life cost planning, building economics and value engineering.
Ability to analyse, interpret and report on complex cost and other property performance data using databases and spreadsheets.
Advanced MS Excel skills to support analysis
Ability to work closely and effectively with other colleagues, both internal and external, to develop collaborative approaches
Flexible thinking in order to provide innovative and strategic solutions to complex technical and property issues.
Ability to challenge, influence and negotiate with a wide variety of stakeholders.
Knowledge and experience of project procurement and delivery eg Private Finance, Design and Build, Framework Contracts, Traditional procurement etc
Self-starter with good communication and presentation skills.

Desirable Experience:
Experience of working with and/or within local authorities and schools
Knowledge of building surveying techniques, asset management and condition surveys
Experience of working in education/school capital programmes and projects.
Experience of benchmarking
