Summary
  • The Civil/Structural Engineer performs all civil engineering work for substations and conduit/manhole systems to ensure cost effective civil and structural designs are implemented
  • This includes: analysis and design of steel, concrete and foundations for distribution substations and facilities.
  • Examples of projects include: analysis of towers for Telecommunications and PCS antenna installations, functional design of structures for substation equipment, safety inspection of existing vaults and manholes for structural integrity, field inspection and recommendations for restoration of deteriorated or damaged structures.
  • Other responsibilities include: creating specifications, material procurement, permit approvals, estimates, field investigations and vendor/contractor contact.
  • The Civil/Structural Engineer will also provide civil engineering for Administrative Services, Environmental, Real Estate and Telecommunications groups.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • A professional engineering license in the state of Wisconsin is desirable.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Must be able to interact effectively at all levels, both internal and external to the company, and be results-oriented.
  • Strong analytical capabilities are required.
