My client is currently looking for a Network Engineer to join their team. The job requires you to do the following:- Escalated service operation support to 1st and 2nd tier engineers
- Pre installation customer solution testing
- Engagement with colleagues, partners and customers to resolve complex technical issues.
- ITIL process understanding and experience
The successful candidate will be experienced in the following:
- TCP/IP, routing, switching
- Solid operational experience of BGP, OSPF, HSRP, PVST
- Qualified to CCNA/JNCIA or equivalent
- QoS policy design
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- High standard of customer care and experience
- MPLS Core network with Broadband and Ethernet services
- Network monitoring
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide pre and post installation support to the field based teams
- Ownership to resolution of 3rd line escalated tickets
- Assist and support our desk based Technical Support teams (1st line and 2ndline) on complex incidents
- Perform pre-installation configuration and testing and offer pre-sales support when required
- Work closely with business partners and customers to resolve complex technical queries
- Deliver a first class customer experience in line with our ITIL procedures
- Desk based role but might require some travelling
- Network monitoring
- On call support
Responsibilities:
- Mentoring and support of second-line teams.
- Able to perform occasional out-of-hours changes to customer networks.
- Assisting technical pre-sales in customer solution design.
- Remote assistance for on-site engineers; verification of new circuits, fail-over solutions, fault diagnosis.
- Working with suppliers in fault resolution.
